Our Story

Wyldflower Yoga kits provide the opportunity for children to blossom into their true selves by utilizing the practice of Yoga combined with STEAM (science, tech, engineering, art, math). Wyldflower Yoga subscription kits are a unique way to blend the benefits of a yoga practice and education about the bigger world around us.

The Importance of Wyldflowers

Wyldflower Yoga illustrates a freedom that pushes past the boundaries created by social norms. Wildflowers grow all over the world and in all kinds of environmental conditions. Wildflowers are hardy and strong, rooted deep, and very important to our ecosystem. Like wildflowers, children are our worlds “Wyldflowers”. With guidance from the parents and the Wyldflower team, we can help the world’s Wyldflowers grow to spread kindness, compassion, and their own unique color through yoga and learning.

We want to cultivate our Wyldflowers to be a generation that is prepared to fight for the world by spreading kindness, compassion, and their own unique “color” through yoga and learning.

Cultivating the World’s Wyldflowers

Wyldflower Yoga introduces children to the beautiful and vibrant world they live in through engaging movement and a story that teaches them about how they play a part in nature, in relationships, and how they can help make the world better. Each element in a Wyldflower Yoga kit is designed with the lesson theme in mind, to foster a sensory experience that parents can use to teach life lessons during valuable learning opportunities.

Wyldflower Yoga kits are much more than "One and Done" resources. The kits are designed for repeat use to build a full yoga practice. The elements are published on high quality materials so they can be kept for long term use and referred to over and over again.

Wyldflower Yoga kits are a complete lifestyle experience for the whole family. Your child may be doing yoga with their booklet at home, outdoors, or with friends, but with the help of the “Caregiver’s Guide”, we are able to encourage parents to share their experience and join in the community of like-minded families across the nation providing their children with this unique resource for better development.

Meet Team Wyldflower

The Wyldflower Yoga team is comprised of real people with real lives. We each tend our own gardens at home while we assist in the development of this nationwide garden of Wyldflowers all over the nation, growing to spread kindness, compassion, and their own unique color to the world around them through yoga and learning.

Niki Bergstrom

Owner • RYT • RCYT

I have been teaching kid’s yoga since 2015 in studio and school settings. I have completed my Yoga Alliance 200 hour certification (RYT) through Replenish Yoga & Wellness, as well as my Yoga Alliance 95 hour kid’s yoga certification (RCYT) through Next Generation Yoga.

After I completed my training and began leading classes in studios and schools [@Ashleigh Pinkerton - I made some changes here. My story is actually really really long with lots of details and this was a quicker direction. Let me know what you think is best here.][I think this is great! I like that it's concise. There will be lots of opportunities to tell more details of your story as we go! :-) I know it can be hard to not include everything at once, but I think you did a great job shortening it and focusing it on a solid intro.]I discovered that it wasn’t just the children that wanted/needed yoga. Families were in need of the life skills yoga offers. I can recognize the impact yoga has had on my life, my kids, my students and their families but yoga has its pitfalls. And my mission is to educate and advocate for yoga for families across the nation who don’t have access to affordable yoga. Now with Wyldflower Yoga kits, you can enjoy the practice in the comfort of your own home.

My BA in Art History and Business Administration led me to work in museums, galleries, operas, symphonies, ballets, and even health organizations. Currently I manage San Francisco’s Educational TV Station located at City College of San Francisco.

I did the year-long Anusara Immersion and Teacher Training program at Yoga Kula. My yoga practice has helped me navigate the exhilarating and exhausting job of motherhood.

I have been drawing since I was a little bitty one. I studied studio art, painting and illustration at St.Olaf College, and spent the first decade of my career as a designer in the music industry. Translation; I made A LOT of rock posters for A LOT of bands. I have now turned my attention to Design Research and Human Centered Design. In all my work I continue to keep my hand where my heart is, in drawing and illustration.

The daughter of an art teacher and a chemist, I love to make work that celebrates both creativity and the great structures of science and nature- our bodies! Yoga is such a beautiful expression of the place that form and mindfulness meet. It is a delight for me to be able to create drawings about something that is such an important and passionate part of my life!

With a background in licensed massage therapy, I have always been interested in the natural powers of healing. I began my kids yoga training in 2014 with Kids Yogaverse as well as Mindful Schools that helped me to better focus my training to help children grow with mindfulness fundamentals.

I’ve found that since teaching children’s yoga, I enjoy sharing the magic of breath work, yoga and mindfulness with as many students as I can. It is my life goal to help others tap into their own power.

Developer • Kids Yoga Teacher

As the owner of Seek Yoga studio since 2011, I have enjoyed seeing how yoga has impacted the youth that meet me on and off the yoga mat. With training in early child care in 2016, yoga for kids & families in 2013, as well as yoga for high risk youth in 2010, I enjoy creating unique lessons based on real-life experiences in our community.

My yoga has been founded on the principles that yoga should be about connecting. Connecting with your environment, connecting with your family and those around you, as well as connecting with yourself through fun and engaging body movement. As well as that yoga should be about experiencing JOY. It's through our connections that we find JOY. This is the journey we seek.
